JCL Eventing Grand Prix – Information

The JCL Eventing Grand Prix will take place at approximately 5.30pm on Thursday 13 June in the Main International Arena. There will be an afternoon briefing at a time TBC in the VIP Hospitality Marquee.

  • Entry Fee: £125 plus VAT per horse
  • Stabling: One night £80 plus VAT; Two nights £95 plus VAT
  • Course Designer: Eric Winter
  • Prize Money: 1st: £5000, 2nd: £1500, 3rd: £1000, 4th: £250, 5th: £250.

VIP hospitality will be available for the evening session from 5pm on tables of six. Bookings of less than six people are welcome but may be on shared tables.

The hospitality package will include dinner and evening entertainment till late. 

The entry will be confirmed once the payment has been received.

Riders can enter up to two horses.

Rules / Qualification

  • The competition will be a mixture of X-Country jumps and Show jumps at approx 1.20m/intermediate level and will be run as a Table C (Seconds added competition) and any knock down will be three seconds added per obstacle, this includes flags on the x-country fences. A joker fence may be included at the end of the course.
  • Qualification: Horses & Riders must have both achieved a minimum of 4 MERs at Intermediate/3* level, or double clears at 1.30m level for invitational showjumper places
  • Although this competition is unafiliated, it will run under 2023 FEI ?Jumping rules for Table C
  • The exception that it will be the third refusal that will incur elimination
  • Their time limit for the course will be approx 180 seconds
  • Tack rules will be in-line with 2023 FEI Eventing rules
  • Riders will compete in teams of four, with the best three times from each team counting towards the team’s overall time. The team with the quickest overall time will be the winner
  • All riders will also compete as individuals
  • The start order of the teams will be drawn
  • Teams will compete in rotation, starting with all the first riders from each team, then all the second riders from each team, followed by all the third riders and then all the fourth riders from each team
  • Any riders not in a team and competing as individuals only will be drawn first.
