Events Activation Manager

2. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
  Collaborate with the Sponsorship Manager and cross-functionally to coordinate sponsor and brand delivery.  Maximise business from new, and existing, customers through an innovative approach delivering best experience to all clients. 
 
3. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the co-ordination and delivery of sponsorship contracts.
• On event management of brand delivery and activation for sponsors and partners.
• Manage ticket requirements and coordinate requirements between marketing, sport, operations and sales.
• Create a strong lead database and sales funnel in brand partnerships and sponsors.
• Identify and develop sales strategies through research, creative thinking and industry-standard campaigns.
• Be proactive in demonstrating a strong commercial awareness around potential event and brand activation opportunities.
• Assist with the management and co-ordination of guest hospitality management ensuring that we deliver to high service standard in line with our brand values.
• Be responsible for the creation of tailored sales proposals allowing sponsors to leverage the opportunities available whilst ensuring integration of brands into each event.
• Assist with the creation and development of a season of diverse events at Bolesworth.
• Undertake competitor and market research to understand the dynamics of the market and the demand generators for new events.
• Manage the delivery of physical assets for marketing and activation requirements in relation to sponsors.
• Assist with the set up and management of an activation team.
• Liaise with operations team to manage sponsor and brand partner event assets and requirements.
• Help with the creation and delivery of on-site marketing activities at events.
4. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Experience / qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience working across in event activation or sponsorship management. 
• Full driving license.
• Fully proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Able to demonstrate sales passion, business acumen, commercial awareness, with the ability to build excellent stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Confident, tenacious relationship builder and problem solver.

• The successful applicant must be able to work on the occasional weekend and some unsociable hours during event periods. 
6. REPORTING
Reports to: Events Managing Director | Direct Reports: N/A
7. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
• Work hours are Mon-Fri, 8.30am – 5pm with an unpaid hour for lunch.
• The post holder will undergo a three-month trial period. 
• Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year, plus Public Holidays. 
• A basic healthcare plan, life assurance and employers auto enrolment pension scheme are offered after successful completion of the probationary period.

Communications Officer

2. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Develop key relationships and opportunities with external partners and stakeholders including tenants, the media, suppliers, and national organisations that are beneficial and will help deliver the Estate’s priorities.  

Lead media work and key stakeholder communications with responsibility for devising and delivering strategies to secure target levels of media coverage and building and maintain contacts with journalists across national, local and trade media with the aim of raising the profile and promoting the different business areas.
 
3. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Director to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our multiple target audiences.
• Lead on the delivery of key internal and external communications, both digital and print, including copywriting and procuring photography.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with existing or potential tenants working cross-functionally with colleagues.  
• Develop and maintain a network of key journalists across traditional and online media channels, across identified and agreed media titles locally, regionally and nationally.
• Effectively influence editorial and internal teams to align with the company’s brand and its approach to teamwork and collaboration to generate media coverage.
• Confidently identify media hooks and / or explore media stories working with business area experts to brainstorm and develop media pitches.
• Write, edit, and distribute content, including tenant newsletters, letters, publications, press releases, website content, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the Estate’s activities, products and / or services.
• Ability to share, identify and distil key media messages from research and marketing material to position Bolesworth as a thought leader in appropriate markets.
• Use communications best practice and audience insights to deliver effective and dedicated communications.
• Ensure research and evaluation is carried out that measures success and demonstrates the contribution of all communication activity towards the Estates priority outcomes.
• Respond to media enquiries, organise media briefings and arrange interviews and press conferences as required. 
• Ensure Bolesworth brand values are adhered to at all times and continuously strengthen day-to-day relationships.
4. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
• At least four years experience working in media relations and external communications.
• Exceptional at working collaboratively, communicating effectively and nurturing positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to develop media pitches, formulate a calendar of activity anticipating media hooks and understand news cycles.
• Excellent writing and editing skills for audiences ranging from lifestyle to business – equally comfortable dealing with B2B and B2C audiences.
• Comfortable in presenting their projects and results to various stakeholders.
• Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking, balanced with a can-do, roll your sleeves up attitude.
