Panel Discussion: What it takes to win in our world

  • Fields Wicker-Miurin OBE FKC, Chair of British Equestrian
Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Fields has held leadership positions in a
variety of sectors across the globe. From her earliest days in social enterprise through to her corporate board experience, Fields has always led by bringing people with different perspectives together to achieve bold ambitions for the good of the whole. Fields’ international career and ability to operate at the highest level have been underpinned by one thing – her love of horses, describing the time she spends with horses as the ‘oxygen and sanity’ that keep her balanced and grounded. She is a lifelong equestrian.
  • Robert Lemieux, founder of LeMieux
Robert Lemieux became involved in the equestrian world as an event rider, competing at Olympic and World Championship level for Great Britain and later for Canada. Robert and his wife Lisa started Horse Health in 2003, selling supplements from a van, and continued to grow the business until they launched the LeMieux brand in 2006 when they identified a need for quality lambskin saddle pads and set about making their own range. A brand that has equestrian at its heart, with products made for riders by riders, LeMieux has also expanded into leisurewear and casual clothing, and are introducing a range of outdoor footwear. Since 2021, the business has more than doubled in size, from 32 members of staff to over 75 today.
