Excitement has been brewing ever since Bolesworth Castle announced plans to host the ultimate Christmas lights experience, where families can expect to enjoy 1.2 miles of spectacular colours and sparkling lights from November 26th right through to Christmas Eve. The dog-friendly lights trail will see families and their pooches head into the enchanted woods to experience sparkling walkways, floodlit trees and laser-lit bridges, before travelling along the lakeside to meet our friendly reindeer.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, make sure to stop by our food and drinks market which will be packed full of all your festive favourite’s, hog roast anyone?
However, the experience doesn’t have to stop there, there is now, even more, to get excited about. The team have been working hard to create a truly magical event that captures the true essence of Christmas and have added some extra experiences for you to enjoy during your visit from just £5.
Santa’s Grotto
What is a Christmas experience without meeting the man behind the magic? Treat your kids for being good all year, with a visit to see Santa where they can leave their present list and have their photo taken with the man himself.
Ice skating
If you want to truly get in the Christmas spirit, immerse yourself in our very own winter wonderland and get your skates on. Located in the Christmas Village our synthetic ice rink is set against the iconic backdrop of Bolesworth Castle and it features a bar for that much needed hot chocolate or mulled wine to warm you up after you get off the ice.
champagne island
Make the most of your Christmas experience with a visit to Champagne Island. This secret Island sanctuary is situated across the lake and it is truly an unmissable experience. Our team will walk you over the bridge and across the lake to your exclusive island where you can spend up to 60 minutes sipping champagne and soaking up the magical views. If your children are over 12 why not bring them along and they can enjoy a soft drink whilst gazing across at our Winter lights trail.
Fairground
What could be more fun than a trip to the fairground? Other than a festive Christmas fairground of course. Our fairground will have all of the classic rides for the kids, and the big kids. Experience the thrill of your favourite ride and enjoy fairground treats, including candy floss and more.
