Tis’ the season to celebrate, so we invite you to discover our sparkling Christmas at Bolesworth experience in the heart of Cheshire from December 2 to December 24 2022.
Bolesworth will be transformed into a festive wonderland, festooned in seasonal sparkle and yuletide cheer for a month of unforgettable winter magic. Our incomparable enchanted Christmas Lights Trail returns for 2022 featuring an all-new route, a spectacular light show incorporating Bolesworth Castle itself and a breath-taking water display on our beautiful lake.
You can also look forward to a spectacular fairground, food and winter warmers, reindeer encounters and our exclusive champagne experiences; there’s snow better place to get into the seasonal spirit this year!
Please note: online tickets available until 2pm each day of Christmas at Bolesworth; on the gate tickets available thereafter are 20% more, subject to availability. Explore Cheshire’s Best Christmas Lights Trail
Bolesworth transforms into a winter wonderland, bathed in seasonal colour and illuminated by thousands of stunning lights, projections and interactive installations around the brand new 1.2 mile Christmas Lights Trail walk. With Bolesworth Castle bathed in colour as a unique Son et Lumiere as your dazzling backdrop, you’ll see everything from stunning light pyramids and orbs on the ground, lasers, glittering mirror balls and the spectacular dancing fountains on the ornamental lake.

Fairground Rides
If the lights trail weren’t enough, there’s even more sparkle and dazzle to soak-up whilst enjoying a host of fairground attractions for all ages… ho ho ho if you want to go faster! Please note there’s an additional cost for each ride.

Rudolph’s Rest
Enjoy a magical meeting with our friendly reindeer (red noses or otherwise) in Bolesworth’s enchanted woods as they prepare for their big night as part of Santa’s Sleigh Team.

Alpine Lodge
Our winter-warming indoor Alpine Lodge is the perfect place to take a break from the cold and packed with things to see and do (and most importantly plenty of places to sit) before you head back out on your festive adventure.

We’re Dog Friendly!
Your canine companions don’t have to miss out on the festive fun! Christmas at Bolesworth is a dog friendly event and perfect if you want to enjoy a seasonal walk in spectacular surroundings! Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and you must bring bags to clean up after them if nature calls. Please note dogs aren’t permitted in Santa’s Grotto.

From Wrexham Via A534
Leave Wrexham via the A534 and follow it for eight miles until you reach the Broxton roundabout. Turn left onto the A41, then follow for half a mile before taking the first right onto Old Coach Road. After 300 yards the Production Gate entrance will be on your left.
From Chester or Via M56 – M53
M56 at Junction 15 take the M53 south towards Chester. M53 becomes the A55. Leave the A55 at Junction 40 (previously Junction 37). At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A51. Keep in the left-hand lane and take the left filter onto the A41 (Ring Road). At the next roundabout take the left filter, following signs A41 Whitchurch. Remain on the A41 for 7 miles. Approx. 3 miles after Milton Green turn left onto Old Coach Road. After 300 yards Production Gate entrance will be on your left.
From North Wales Via A55
Take A55 towards Chester – branching left at Junction 37 onto the A55 signposted for Chester. Continue on the A55 towards Chester and take Junction 39 (was Junction 36a) towards Whitchurch. Take the right-hand lane at the traffic lights and turn right onto the A41, signposted Whitchurch. Remain on the A41 for 7 miles. Approx. 3 miles after Milton Green turn left onto Old Coach Road. After 300 yards Production Gate entrance will be on your left.
Via M6
Take the M6 North. Leave the M6 at Junction 10A onto the M54. At M54 Junction 3 take the 3rd exit signposted A41/Whitchurch. Follow the A41 for approx. 29 miles. After Whitchurch continue on the A41 towards Chester. After 11 miles, at the Broxton roundabout, take the 2nd exit to Chester. After approx. half a mile take the first right onto Old Coach Road. After 300 yards Production Gate entrance will be on your left.
