Bolesworth United – Fleur Robinson comes to Bolesworth

Women in Business Day takes place this Thursday, and the latest addition to our panel is truely inspiring…

Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased our near-neighbours Wrexham AFC in 2021, they’ve become one of the most talked-about football clubs in the world. They recently celebrated their triumphant return to the football league!

Shortly after the take-over, the Hollywood stars picked former Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson to be their new CEO and manage the club day-to-day and we’re delighted to confirm Fleur will join the panel for our Women in Business Day this Thursday, 15 June to discuss her career in football, working with Ryan and Rob and much more!

Fleur Robinson

women-in-business-bolesworth

Fleur’s pathway to CEO started in the home dressing room at Burton Albion, where her father, Ben Robinson, has been chairman over a span of some 45 years. She followed in her father’s footsteps and is now one of the most prominent female executives in professional football.

A busy few months have ensued since being appointed by her Hollywood bosses in March. From negotiating Wrexham’s debut in Fifa 22 – the first-ever non-league club to be included in the game – to navigating the fly-on-the-wall cameras capturing a docu-series about the takeover, ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ (a good watch on Netflix!)

As the first black female CEO of a professional football club, Fleur was named on football’s prestigious Black List for influential role models within the national game. It is the second time she has appeared on the list and, while she says that “people don’t particularly see me as being a woman of colour,” some of the experiences of her father remain etched in her mind.

“Certainly my father has probably encountered some negativity in boardrooms,” she says. “People going to their male white colleagues first to shake hands. It’s quite sad that we haven’t seen that diversity within boardrooms, or football clubs. I’m a believer that you have to see it to believe it and there haven’t been those role models in place.”

As a woman, she has had her own challenging experiences. She recalls her first commercial managers’ meeting after Burton were promoted to the Conference (now the National League) under Nigel Clough in 2002. “I was the only female around the table, and half the age of the rest of the people,” she says. Another place of frustratingly slow change has been the Football Association, but Robinson was appointed to the Council in 2016 and there is an ongoing drive to finally make the organisation more representative of the communities it serves.

“It is becoming a more inclusive environment – I was only speaking to [female] CEOs at Grimsby and Harrogate this week,” says Robinson. “There are more of us in these key roles, which is important for the next generation. It is evolving but not as quickly as we would like. There are challenges. I see it now. You go to a boardroom, and people gravitate to the male party you are with as opposed to you as a female. That’s the generation change that needs to happen. Any organisation needs to have that diverse workforce to bring different cultures together to create ideas. And it’s not just the boardroom. I’m also a big advocate for the administration support within football!”

We’re delighted to confirm Fleur will be joining the panel for our Women in Business Day this Thursday, 15 June to discuss her career in football, and working to bring the industry into a newer more diverse and inclusive era.

A Deeper Dive Into AIs Transformative Impact On Customer Support

customer support artificial intelligence

That clever voice assistant that lives in our pockets, ready to answer any question or set any reminder, is AI.

customer support artificial intelligence

The four customer service use cases identified here are already benefiting from AI-powered solutions right now. Since they apply to the vast majority of businesses operating today, they’re among a handful of can’t-miss opportunities to exploit the technology. Since email has become one of the primary ways that customers reach out to businesses, customer support artificial intelligence most companies struggle to cope with an avalanche of incoming messages every day. Until recently, their only option was to hire enough employees to read each message and deal with them appropriately. Modern call recording software can deploy AI to analyse the content of customer service calls to deliver all kinds of actionable insights.

Slash Wait Time in Customer Service with AI for Contact Centers

These tools can be programmed to provide instant responses to frequently asked questions and can also learn from past interactions to improve their responses over time. However, many organisations will fail to create the customer experience they desire because of a fundamental misunderstanding of human-to-machine interaction. In their belief that human agents give the best experience, many will develop messaging applications https://www.metadialog.com/ that stress person-to-person conversations. Moo.com, a stationery website, uses an AI tool called AnswerDash to provide customers with self-serve help options like chatbots, smart FAQs, and how-to content. Chatbots help customers with common questions, which frees up human employees to help with more complicated problems, and data is used to identify frequent issues and create content to offer relevant solutions.

How will AI change the customer experience?

Role of AI in Decision-Making: AI improves real-time and predictive decision-making, helping brands provide a hyper-personalized customer experience and foster deeper customer-brand connections. AI Chatbots and Challenges: AI-powered chatbots complement human customer service.

Yes, special campaigns and discounts can be easily applied if customer service representatives are authorized. Yes, WhatsGO’s AI Chatbot allows you to answer messages from your customers instantly and 24/7. Chatbot can be used on WhatsApp, Instagram, and all digital communication channels. All conversations are recorded and your customer representatives can step in when needed. Take your customer relations to the next level with WhatsGO, increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, and reduce call center costs.

ChatGPT’s Final Thoughts on the Matter

Having said that, this is where many organisations still need to improve their human communication as they either fall back on defensive language, hide behind rules or fail to propose timely solutions. The flipside that brands must also consider before implementing use is, what are its limitations? For starters, in order to produce content, it draws from the vast pool of text and conversations already available on the internet. This raises questions around the originality of the responses it produces and the accuracy of the words generated by the application.

  • Having clear customer service goals and objectives will help you answer the following questions and implement AI tactically or strategically.
  • AI in customer support is like having a virtual assistant that can answer questions and solve problems for customers.
  • We are technology agnostic and only deliver a business outcome driven approach.
  • Self-service tools can be combined with chatbots to direct customers to online discussion forums or FAQs to find answers to common inquiries.
  • Initially, Investec rolled out this solution as it received a high volume of calls from clients, which was costly and the team saw opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • This level of intelligence is vital in delivering a personalized shopping experience for the consumer.

Theory of Mind – is the creation of the capability for AI to understand, process and react based on emotions. This is a complex process as humans express many emotions in many ways, and the expression of emotion is highly individual. E.g., Giving a programme the task of solving a Rubix cube, and the knowledge of colours and potential turns, and then letting the machine customer support artificial intelligence determine the optimal actions to achieve the goal (a solved cube). Marketing Tech provides digital marketing news and jobs, industry analysis and digital media insight around numerous marketing disciplines; mobile strategy, email marketing, SEO, analytics, social media and much more. But how exactly to use GPT-3 customer service automation to achieve business results?

Solutions for the Contact Centre

The primary uses of AI in business are the automation of labour-intensive tasks, the provision of assistance with creativity and the management of data and knowledge. In a contact centre, a reactive machine virtual agent will allow inbound callers to select button 1, and always route everyone who selects 1 to a programme that lets them cancel their contract. This article will lay out the interactions between AI, the contact centre and the future of AI in CCaaS and CX deployments. It will start by explaining Cavell’s definition and understanding of AI to make sure we all share the same lexicon and then move on to the industry specific topics.

For example, our legal transcription customers are often juggling a lot of tasks and don’t have time to wait on the phone for a representative. Providing self-service options allows them to get quick answers to their pressing concerns, and if they do need to speak to a person, the wait times are much shorter. Our law enforcement transcription customers have a lot on their plate – which is why they require transcription services in the first place. If they need help, they don’t have the time to search through resources or wait on the phone.

  • AI is used to enable more efficient and personalised customer journeys in customer services.
  • Watch any recent interviews with Amir and he will tell you that consumers often abandon eCommerce experiences because the product results displayed are often irrelevant.
  • Because people are inherently emotional creatures, more than 40% of customers prefer live chat to any other means to address their concerns.
  • Around 80% of customers believe that AI powered chatbots assist them in making better purchase decisions than humans.

His seminal work in token economics has led to many successful token economic designs using tools such as agent based modelling and game theory. It is also important to identify the right approach, keeping requirements in mind. So, large scale changes in operations need to be made without disrupting existing transactions and business processes. Wayblazer use AI to provide a solution to B2B companies who merchandise hotels, activities, cruises and tours, and to companies who are looking to generate new revenue through hotel bookings.

Personalized Customer Support with AI Chatbots

AI, most simply defined, is a technology that can use machine learning to identify patterns of behaviour to “learn” new skills or approaches. As such, it’s not surprising that 61% of businesses already use some type of AI while 30% of companies plan to increase AI expenditure over the next three years. Ivan Serrano outlines four ways how the customer services sector can make the most of the innovative technology. Let agents focus on emotionOn digital channels which lack the context of face-to-face or voice communication, it can be difficult to understand and build an emotional connection. Consequently, consumers often complain that agents don’t empathize with their situation, failing to spot and respond accordingly when they’re angry or upset. However, using AI digital communications can be analyzed for factors such as context and emotion, enabling agents to provide personalized empathetic replies.

The impressive and friendly assistant helps to simplify mobile shopping and provides customers with the best and most relevant deals and products that are tailored to your preferences. In fact, the more time and effort that you put into interacting with Mona, the better she’ll get to know you. Also, specific systems need shopping cart integration to retrieve information such as product details, quantities and shipping terms that chatbots may use to provide accurate answers to customers. They achieve this by asking the customer questions e.g. “where and when will you be using your jacket? IBM’s software then scans hundreds of products to find perfect matches based on real-time customer input and its own research e.g. such as weather conditions in the local area. Getty can identify high quality prospects and this gives their sales team a competitive advantage to win new business.

Predictive Analytics

Better response time
When choosing to call a customer support team, receiving a prompt response and solution to an issue, or resolving a problem is always appreciated. AI Chatbots are expected to save over $10 billion in yearly costs for the retail, banking, and healthcare industries this year (2023), up from $6 billion in 2018. Even the most successful social media strategy can’t tap into the first-party data opportunity that a chatbot can. So if you haven’t set up automated messaging, now’s the time to fire up your chatbots.

customer support artificial intelligence

Even former Google exec and ‘AI Superpowers’ author Kai-Fu Lee predicts AI will replace 40% of jobs in 15 years. Machine learning is here to stay and for certain interactions, customers prefer the convenience of automation for its ease and speed. Machine learning and bots will become more proficient at dealing with complex enquiries, and in some cases, pre-empting customer enquiries with proactive communication.

customer support artificial intelligence

This information can then be used to make assumptions about what the customer needs to resolve their problem. AI technology works best when it continually receives a vast amount of data making it well suited to improving multiple facets of customer service. Recent developments in AI and automation have made the technology more accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.

The Cirrus omni-channel platform allows customers to switch between channels without interrupting their journey. If transferred to a live agent, that agent will always have a holistic view of the customer interaction and back-story. At Opus we work with industry leading partners Mitel and Cirrus and Five9 to overlay innovative AI solutions within the contact centre. We’ll help you when evaluating your needs to provide you with the level of AI solution required whether that functional Chat Bot through to a fully functional and highly intelligent Virtual Assistant or a mix of both. It’s also important to involve diverse groups of people in the development and testing of AI systems.

customer support artificial intelligence

Empathy goes a long way
Humans are exceptional in every way, with their ability to respond quickly and empathise with others. Because people are inherently emotional creatures, more than 40% of customers prefer live chat to any other means to address their concerns. Customers are happy when their issues are handled with care and a personal touch. Especially in interactive customer service, like chatbots and live chat, being able to speak in your customer’s language is essential, because let’s face it, Google Translate doesn’t work very well in chat windows.

How can AI improve customer loyalty?

Moreover, AI can generate loyalty, such as creating loyalty programs, offering rewards, or providing benefits, that incentivize customers to repeat purchases, referrals, and reviews, increasing their lifetime value and profitability.

Heroin Definition, Effects, Abuse, & Facts 150 150 Daniel Shires

Heroin Definition, Effects, Abuse, & Facts

Once the chemical interaction has taken place, the affected nerve cells are prompted to release a neurotransmitter called dopamine. Dopamine is a special molecule which is important in mediating feelings of pleasure that are rewarding to the user. It’s these sensations of reward that can kickstart and later reinforce a growing addiction, as the user continually seeks to repeat the behavior—in this case, heroin use—that lead to them feeling good. The speed and intense effects of the substance are the main contributors to its harmful nature. They are also factors that lead to the addictiveness of heroin. Continued use of heroin can cause devastation to both physical and mental health, and it is likely to culminate in a number of social and legal ramifications for the user.

what is heroin

While heroin is a much stronger opioid than its predecessor, it can also cause a number of serious side effects. These include a high risk of physical dependence, which may progress to addiction, or opioid use disorder, in some people. That’s why today’s medical professionals no longer use heroin. A medication called naloxone can block the effects of a heroin overdose if it’s used quickly.

Why Are More People Using Heroin?

The private use and possession of heroin is illegal in most countries of the world, although the drug may be used as a painkiller for terminal cancer patients and others who suffer severe pain. Most illegally distributed heroin comes from opium produced in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Mexico. At the start of the 21st century, the leading opium-producing countries included Afghanistan, Myanmar (Burma), and Laos. Heroin addiction first appeared in the early 20th century, and for several decades thereafter it was customarily confined to the marginal or criminal elements in Western societies.

what is heroin

By the mid-1920s, heroin production had been made illegal in many parts of the world. An illegal trade developed at that time between heroin labs in China (mostly in Shanghai and Tianjin) and other nations. The weakness of the government in China and conditions of civil war enabled heroin production to take root there. Chinese triad gangs eventually came to play a major role in the illicit heroin trade. While most people are aware that there is a problem with heroin abuse and addiction in the US, some people still don’t know what heroin actually is and why it is such a problem.

What to Do if You Think Someone Is Using Heroin

People who use heroin report feeling a “rush” (a surge of pleasure). And then they may feel other effects, such as a warm flushing of the skin, dry mouth, and a heavy feeling in the arms and legs. After these first effects, they will usually be drowsy for several hours, and their breathing will slow down. Some people mix heroin with crack cocaine, which is called “speedballing.” All these ways of taking heroin send it to the brain very quickly, which makes it highly addictive. If you or someone you know shows these signs, call 911 immediately.

As with most drug side effects, this release is only temporary — which leaves some people wanting more of the “good” feeling. Heroin addiction, also called opioid use disorder, is a disorder that involves changes in the brain and behavior as a result of heroin use. People with OUDs often require treatment to recover from heroin addiction. Treatment can include a combination of medication, therapy, and support groups. Heroin is a highly addictive drug that some people use for recreational purposes. It is an illegal substance that has no recognised medical use in the U.S.

Is heroin legal in the state of Oregon?

Heroin works similarly to other opioids by binding to the opioid receptors in the central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain and spinal cord. Heroin typically affects receptors responsible how long does heroin stay in your system for feelings of pain and pleasure, as well as those that affect heart rate, breathing, and sleep. A medicine called naloxone can treat a heroin (or other opioid) overdose if it is given in time.

  • For both the mental and physical risks, it is ideal to stop heroin use before it becomes a long-term pattern.
  • Some people may also experience withdrawal symptoms if they stop taking heroin suddenly.
  • Then, for several hours, you feel as if the world has slowed down.
  • Heroin is a highly addictive opioid drug, and its use has repercussions that extend far beyond the individual user.

To enhance the safety of detox, it’s best the person is medically supervised. Heroin is an opioid that originates from morphine, a substance derived from opium poppy plants. A person should speak with a healthcare professional if they are thinking of stopping using heroin.

How to get support

Diagnosing any kind of substance use disorder, including opioid use disorder, is done by a thorough examination and assessment by a psychiatrist or psychologist. In some states, a licensed drug and alcohol counselor may make the diagnosis. While it’s impossible to say who’s at risk for an opioid use https://ecosoberhouse.com/ disorder, there are factors that can raise the risk of developing a drug addiction. Sometimes opioid use disorder begins with legal drugs like painkillers that are prescribed after a surgery or some other injury. It’s an opioid, which binds to receptors in the brain to release the chemical dopamine.

  • Heroin works similarly to other opioids by binding to the opioid receptors in the central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain and spinal cord.
  • Anyone can administer Narcan, so you don’t need to have a medical license or medical training.
  • After these first effects, they will usually be drowsy for several hours, and their breathing will slow down.

One of the strongest effects heroin has on the body is to decrease breathing. When the individual overdoses on the drug, it then leads breathing to slow so much – or even to stop – that the individual becomes unconscious and can die as a result. Some of the damage that results from heroin addiction can be reversed. However, the longer the drug has been used, the more damage results, and the less likely reversal is possible. For example, heart, liver, kidney, and lung damage may be able to improve but may not be entirely reversed after the drug is stopped. Brain damage and memory loss are often not reversible either.

An impressive range of hi-tech electric and hybrid vehicles will feature in this year’s Driving Experience Zone, where visitors can take to the wheel of a car or e-bike manufactured by global automotive giants.

In partnership with Williams Group, Lookers Chester, Mitchell Group, Eskuta and Root EV, Matt Bates, Bolesworth’s Managing Director of Events, said test drives and rides will be on a first-come, first-served basis – all you need is your driving licence.

“We’re so excited to be giving thousands of people the chance to get up close to and experience an EV, hybrid, or e-bike at the Bolesworth International next month,” he said.

“Together with our amazing partners, visitors can experience a huge selection of cutting-edge vehicles from a host of major brands including BMW and Land Rover from Williams Group, Kia, Nissan and Renault from Lookers Chester, Lexus, Mazda and Skoda from Mitchell Group, as well as e-bikes from Eskuta and Root EV.

“There’s no doubt EV and hybrid cars are the future of mobility and as a sustainability conscious organisation we’re keen to do all we can to support their adoption for the good of our region and beyond.”

Matt added: “Incidentally if you’re looking for the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day on June 18, why not give the dad in your life a celebration to remember by letting him loose on a host of amazing cars and bikes? Add in FMX and BMX displays, radio-controlled cars, barbecue demos and much more – I know where I’ll be heading!”

The five-day Bolesworth International festival has something for all the family, as organisers aim to achieve 250,000 annual visitors ahead of the Castle’s 200th anniversary in 2028.

Following significant investment, they have packed the 400,000 square metre-site with everything from world class equestrian sport, entertainment, and action sports to create the biggest and best attraction of its kind, in Cheshire, North Wales and beyond.

DJs Trevor Nelson and Phoebe d’Abo, renowned soul outfit The Brand New Heavies, and Rick Parfitt Jr and the RPJ Band are among the stars set to appear. There will be celebrity guests, barbecue and cocktail masterclasses, an extensive shopping village, a huge kids’ zone with funfair, inflatables, land and water zorbs, a wildlife zone, pony rides and much more, including camping.

The Driving Experience Zone will be open from Friday June 16 to Sunday June 18. For tickets and further information, visit www.bolesworth.com/international.

Step Into Christmas at Bolesworth

CHRISTMAS has come early for fans of one of the North West’s premier venues.

Tickets are now on sale for the Bolesworth winter spectacular, with early bird offers up for grabs.

The 6,000-acre estate’s festive extravaganza will this year include a 240 square-metre real ice skating rink, fairground, Santa and his reindeer at Rudolph’s Rest, food and drink, a Champagne bar, and the popular lights trail.

People are urged to book now to capitalise on a 50% discount for Santa’s Grotto, with a 20% reduction on all other attractions until Monday (May 1).

Nina Barbour, Managing Director of the Bolesworth Estate, said: “Christmas at Bolesworth has always been a hit with our supporters, but this year will be bigger and better than ever.

“Due to a surge in demand, we have opened for bookings earlier than before and added extra dates to extend until New Year’s Eve; tickets are selling fast, so we encourage people to get in touch and take advantage of these deals to guarantee the time slots of their choice.”

She added: “The real ice rink is a new addition to the line-up, and will be suitable for kids from age three upwards, located within the Christmas Village.

“We are really excited about Christmas at Bolesworth, and while there is still some time to go, we know December will come around fast so don’t miss out!”

As they begin preparations for the 200th anniversary of Bolesworth Castle in 2028, Nina and the team are looking to build back from the pandemic with a range of activities and celebrations for people of all ages.

Among the other highlights in 2023 are a Spring Garden Walk, Cheshire Balloon Fiesta, Fireworks night, a Festive Farmers’ Convoy and New Year’s Eve Fireworks, which form part of the post Christmas celebrations. There is also the revamped Bolesworth International, which runs from June 14-18 with guests including DJs Trevor Nelson and Phoebe d’Abo, pop outfit the Brand New Heavies, and Rick Parfitt Jr and the RPJ Band.

“We are known as a venue for equestrian events and competitions – and we are very proud of that – but Bolesworth is so much more,” said Nina.

“There are hundreds of businesses located on the estate employing more than a thousand people; we are committed to supporting the economy and playing a major role in the community.

“Christmas at Bolesworth will bring people from across Cheshire, the Wirral, North Wales and beyond to our 400,000 square metre-site, which in turn has a knock-on effect for tourism and spend in the area.

“We plan to do even more, go even bigger and be even more daring in the future, hosting world-class, top-quality events in many different spheres – we are only just getting started.”

Exciting Plans Ahead at Bolesworth 1024 683 Daniel Shires

Exciting Plans Ahead at Bolesworth

BOLESWORTH Castle has lined up a series of major events to give the region a post-pandemic boost and achieve its target of 250,000 visitors ahead of a landmark anniversary.

Taking place from June 14-18, the always popular Bolesworth International has a brand-new look for 2023.

Following significant investment, organisers have packed the 400,000 square metre-site with everything from world class equestrian competitions, entertainment, action sports, shopping and more to create the biggest and best attraction of its kind, in Cheshire and beyond.

DJs Trevor Nelson and Phoebe d’Abo, pop outfit the Brand New Heavies, and Rick Parfitt Jr and the RPJ Band are among the stars set to appear, and there will a wide range of activities and attractions for people of all ages to enjoy.

Bolesworth’s Managing Director Nina Barbour and its 40-strong team have big plans having ridden the challenges of the pandemic and emerged with a clear vision for the future.

“While the Bolesworth International is by tradition a horse show and its place in the International equestrian calendar is so important to us, we felt this was the year to rip up the rule book and recreate the event to really take it to the next level,” said Nina.

“Cheshire and North Wales is seeing significant attention and interest, investment and development in recent times, and we want to play our part by creating a major event that becomes a must-visit for people in the area, whether they love horses or just want a great day out with family and friends.

“From Friday to Sunday there will be so many things going on from live music and celebrity guests to barbecue and cocktail masterclasses, an extensive shopping village, a huge kids’ zone with funfair, inflatables, land and water zorbs, a wildlife zone, pony rides and so much more.

“There will also be plenty for the dads to enjoy as our final programme takes place on Father’s Day, with freestyle motocross, radio-controlled cars and boats, electric bike and driving experiences, and the opportunity to camp on-site.”

She added: “We had to scale Bolesworth International down in recent times because of Covid-19 but it’s back and bigger than ever, with the opportunity to camp on-site and bring the whole family – and that’s dogs included.

“Tickets are available – camping pitches are selling fast, and the business networking hospitality session with Michael Owen and Sir AP McCoy on the Friday has already sold out – so we encourage visitors to book now so they don’t miss out.”

With more than 1,000 people from Cheshire, North Wales and beyond employed by dozens of businesses across the 6,000-acre Bolesworth Estate, the venue has had a major impact on the economy for generations.

And as they begin preparations for the 200th anniversary of Bolesworth Castle in 2028, Nina is aiming to reach a quarter of a million visitors and contribute even more to their community.

“Bolesworth is so much more than a venue for events, we do a lot of work with local and national charities, are home to a variety of businesses across a wide range of sectors and have been used as a location for film and TV on many occasions,” she said.

“It’s a huge operation which continues to grow, and we are very proud of that.”

Nina added: “As we move towards the Castle’s bicentenary, we will look to build on what is already a high-quality series of events that will appeal to people from all over the country and beyond.”

Among the highlights this year are a Spring Garden Walk, Cheshire Balloon Fiesta, and the popular Christmas at Bolesworth extravaganza, which this winter will feature an ice-skating rink, Santa’s Grotto, and spectacular lights trail.
