Retraining of Racehorses Classes
New to the Bolesworth International in 2026, the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) classes celebrate the versatility, athleticism and spirit of former racehorses as they step into life beyond the track. Every horse competing began its journey in training for racing, some with successful careers, others who never made it to the start line – but all sharing the same foundation of bravery, heart and natural athleticism that makes them perfectly suited to new disciplines.
Set against the iconic backdrop of the Bolesworth Estate, the RoR classes offer these Thoroughbreds a stage to showcase their adaptability, skill and partnership with their riders. The competition is run over two rounds, including a thrilling second round against the clock, offering spectators an exciting display of precision and pace.

What's Included
Retraining of Racehorses
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is the official charity of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), dedicated to the welfare, retraining and rehoming of former racehorses. Through RoR, horses who have either raced or trained to race are given a structured and supportive pathway into life beyond the track.
The RoR classes at Bolesworth celebrates exactly that – a second chance and a career change for these talented horses.
