At Bolesworth, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our visitors. Whether you’re attending one of our outdoor events across the estate or enjoying the comfort of our hospitality venue at Castle View Pavilion, we are committed to ensuring your experience is both accessible and enjoyable.

Getting to Bolesworth

Bolesworth Castle and the Estate are conveniently situated just 15 minutes south of Chester on the main A41. The entrance to the grounds when attending an event is via Production Gate on Old Coach Road using postcode CH3 9JJ.

Travel Times by Road:

  • From Crewe Station: 30 minutes
  • From Liverpool Airport: 45 minutes (via Runcorn/M56/A55/A41)
  • From Manchester Airport: 45 minutes (via M56/A55 & A41)

Ample parking is available on-site. If you are traveling via public transport, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can provide tailored advice on the best routes and access options.

Entering the Grounds

The grounds at Bolesworth feature a mix of terrain, but we have taken steps to ensure that key areas are accessible. We have VIP parking just outside Castle View Pavilion which is a hard standing flat surface designed to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and pushchairs. Assistance is available from our friendly team should you need help navigating any part of the estate.

Castle View Pavilion

Our Castle View Pavilion, a large 500-seater marquee set within the private grounds of Bolesworth Castle, is fully accessible. The marquee is situated on a flat, ground-level surface, with wide entrances and ample space for mobility aids. Accessible restroom facilities are conveniently located within the Pavilion, ensuring comfort for all guests. To access the outdoor seated terrace there are several steps down.  A portable ramp could be put down to make it accessible.

Dog-Friendly Site

At Bolesworth, we welcome dogs as part of your family! Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout the grounds, Please be mindful of other visitors and ensure you clean up after your dog to keep our estate enjoyable for everyone.
