Trooping the Colour Park Ride

Lend your support to an amazing cause and add a splash of colour to the Cheshire countryside at the Trooping the Colour Park Ride on 15 June 2023.

Held as part of the Bolesworth International, this slow-paced hack through the stunning scenery surrounding Bolesworth Castle will celebrate the King’s Birthday Parade whilst raising money for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).

Riders and horses are invited to dress up to celebrate the occasion; whether you want to reflect the tradition of the parade, wear your best fancy dress idea or simply bold and bright colours – the choice is yours!

The event will take place from 9am to 1pm and is open to the entire equestrian community, with riders of all ages and ability levels welcome. The hack lasts approximately 60 minutes (with a shorter accessible route available too).

The ride will pass in front of the Castle, with an official photographer present to capture that special moment, before returning through the grounds and passing by our prize-giving judging panel. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories and presented in the International Arena at around 3pm.

  • Best interpretation of the theme
  • Most colourful horse and rider
  • Highest fundraising total
  • Best dressed lead rein/child rider
  • Against all odds prize (please share your story on your entry form).

Entry costs £29.00 (including automatic £10.00 donation to the RDA). We encourage all entrants to set up a Just Giving page to raise additional funds for the RDA (information on how to do this will be circulated once your entry is confirmed).

All entrants will receive a general admission ticket for themselves and one companion for the Thursday of the wider event, along with a commemorative rosette.

Entries will be taken on a first-come, first-served basses and close Monday 29 May (or earlier if we reach capacity). No entries will be taken on the day. Any withdrawals after the closing date will not receive a refund.

For any questions or enquiries please email us.
