Taking place from 25 to 30 July 2023 (eight miles south of Chester off the A41), you’re invited to enjoy a ‘dino-mite’ outdoor expedition through the wilds of Jurassic Forest in the grounds of Bolesworth Castle… where dinosaurs continue to roam freely to this day
The experience is suitable for adults & kids of all ages to enjoy – the main trail is accessible for wheelchairs & buggies, but the ground will be uneven in places. There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout this awe-inspiring adventure!
The Jurassic Live Adventure is a one-hour guided walk through the incredible lakeside woodland at Bolesworth Castle, where the Jurassic Live team have created 9 individual dinosaur zones to experience.
You’ll be greeted by our Jurassic Rangers, walked to our undercover Dino Island and briefed on your super-adventurous journey by our Rangers. From here, you’ll walk through the trail before being greeted at each zone by the “Territory Keepers”.
The Zones are; Dino Island, Apatosaurus Territory, Stygmoloch Territory, Stegosaurus Territory, Raptor Encounter, Velociraptor Territory, Baby Dino Encounter, Triceratops Territory and the T-Rex Territory.
Then, once you’ve been through the experience, you’ll walk back into Jurassic Parkland to play on bouncy castles, eat, drink and relax with your family… you may even get a surprise visit from a wandering friendly dinosaur!
With over 12 life-size, fully animated dinosaurs walking through their natural habitat, the Jurassic Live Adventure is the first fully guided outdoor trail of its kind in the UK.
Arrive early (gates will open at 10am each day) to enjoy food & drink, bouncy castles and kids interactive activities, ahead of your guided tour
Enter the Dinosaur Forest at your allotted time slot in small groups and come face to face with life-sized interactive dinosaurs in their enclosures
During your hour-long tour you'll see a variety of species, including the mighty T-Rex, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, & more...
Mini Off-Rovers kids driving experiences can be booked on arrival and enjoyed before or after your Jurassic Experience for an extra charge. Children will have a thrilling experience on a safe off road course – suitable for 5 – 9yos. Additional charge applies.
Kids Face-painting
Kids Face-painting will be available to make sure that your kids get into the spirit of the Dino-themed day before venturing into the woods! Additonal charge applies.
Bouncy Castle
There will be a dino-themed bouncy castle and inflatables that kids can enjoy and use up some of that start of the summer holidays energy before or after your guided tour! Additional charge applies.

Directions
From Wrexham via A534
Leave Wrexham via the A534 and follow it for eight miles until you reach the Broxton roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout continuing on the A534 until you are directed by event signage left into Harthill Lane (postcode CH3 9JH). Follow event signage along Bolesworth Road to the show entrance on the left into Tattenhall lodge (CH3 9HL).
From Chester or via M56 – M53
M56 at Junction 15 take the M53 south towards Chester. M53 becomes the A55. Leave the A55 at Junction 40 (previously Junction 37). At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A51. Keep in the left-hand lane and take the left filter onto the A41 (Ring Road). At the next roundabout take the left filter, following signs A41 Whitchurch. Remain on the A41 for 7 miles.
Event signage starts at Milton Green – turn Left opposite the Kia Garage on your right. Follow event signs and turn right as you enter Tattenhall Village and then Left into Bolesworth Road. Continue along Bolesworth Road and follow event signage turning right into the event through Tattenhall Lodge (post code CH3 9HL). If you miss the left at Milton Green continue on the A41 to Broxton Roundabout and turn left and follow event signage from there.
From North Wales via A55
Take A55 towards Chester – branching left at Junction 37 onto the A55 signposted for Chester. Continue on the A55 towards Chester and take Junction 39 (was Junction 36a) towards Whitchurch. Take the right-hand lane at the traffic lights and turn right onto the A41, signposted Whitchurch. Remain on the A41 for 7 miles.
Event signage starts at Milton Green – turn Left opposite the Kia Garage on your right. Follow event signs and turn right as you enter Tattenhall Village and then Left into Bolesworth Road. Continue along Bolesworth Road and follow event signage turning right into the event through Tattenhall Lodge (post code CH3 9HL). If you miss the left at Milton Green continue on the A41 to Broxton Roundabout and turn left and follow event signage from there.
Via M6
Take the M6 North. Leave the M6 at Junction 10A onto the M54. At M54 Junction 3, take the 3rd exit signposted A41/Whitchurch. Follow the A41 for approx. 29 miles. After Whitchurch, continue on the A41 towards Chester. After 11 miles, at the Broxton roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A534. Continue until directed left by event signage into Harthill Lane (post code CH3 9JH). Follow event signage along Bolesworth Road to the show entrance on the left into Tattenhall lodge (CH3 9HL).
